The ‘Robert Burns’ situated at 248-250 Westferry Road, looking west. Built in 1839, the pub closed in 1991 and was subsequently converted into an Islamic Community Centre and kebab shop. The name related to the many Scottish engineers and shipbuilders who settled on the Island in the mid-19th century
